Alternate Title: Sorry For The Interruption Of Our Normally Scheduled Article

As some of you who stop by regularly can see we are really late with the next issue of MyWeek. This time its not my fault. I am writing this to inform you of the problems facing MyWeek this week. Apparently Cox cable who has been shoving down our throats that they received a huge award from J.D. Powers and assoc. for all their great customer service and continued fantastic cable services. Unfortunately I am a customer of Cox Cable and this is how I connect to the internet to update pages. If you are reading this, it is because I had to use a proxy (basically Doktor Dave) to upload the pages this week. Because for some odd reason everyone in the world can get to my website but me! I cannot get to the website by any browser or means and I cannot ftp to the server to make weekly or daily changes. It seems to be only Cox customers in Point Loma but we cannot even confirm that because i don't know anyone else stupid enough to use Cox, but I am sure I am not the only one. I pay for half the cable, phone and internet but the landlord will not let us put up a satellite and the phone lines suck just as bad. So I am stuck with Cox. Other customers in the city who use Cox are not having any of these difficulties, At&t customers have no problem and Time Warner and Roadrunner have not had problems getting to the page. Apparently I am the only one affected and Cox cannot figure out why and they have been trying to fix it for several days. I have had people out to look over the system here but this is not a problem with any of the computers in the house, it is a routing problem on Cox's end.

So what does this mean for me and you? Well as much as I liked being associated with Doktor Dave by being a sub-Domain of his website Musicjammers (which I can't get to either), I will have to move in order to facilitate being able to keep up with this magazine. This was something I needed to do anyway. I was quickly outgrowing the amount of space Dave could allot me since I have a very graphically oriented website. I am very thankful of the sponsoring Dave provided by hosting my website but I had to do something and it looks like Cox will not be able to fix the problem soon. Of course as soon as I completely move and set up shop on the new site I am sure they will fix the problem. But since this was only one of many problems facing the website lately. It really was time to get MyWeek its own domain name and my own hosting. It has already been purchased and I am currently changing everything to work on the new servers.

So next week I hope to have everything back to normal and you can find the website at www.myweekmagazine.com which was the only domain name available because apparently someone anticipated my needing to get a domain and has purchased all the normal names I would have used. But this one works out fine. So please bare with me as I make all the neccesary changes to the pages to make them work just the same at the new host.

I want to take this chance to once again thank Doktor Dave Sawyer for all his help trying to make this site a success by hosting it on his domain at Musicjammers.com He has been a real friend and his help has actually helped me eat once in a while. It doesn't look like I miss a lot of meals but you would be surprised. This is a non-profit publication that I support entirely on my own for now until and unless I get other sponsors in the future. Or maybe a little revenue from ads (which I entirely doubt). The article I would have written this week was scrapped but I may resurface it at a later date if I don't have any good material some week. Till next week this site will stay here at MusicJammers till I have the site fully operational. Till then all the other pages will be available and up to date as much as possible for now. Hope to see all you out there listening to San Diego's great music scene. come on out and find it!

Ciao
